About Kukla Stength Co
My name is Anastasia Kukla. I am 25 years old and currently studying Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy at South East Technological University in Carlow, Ireland, but I am originally from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
I started off coaching high school wrestling in downtown Chicago during the summer of 2021, and that’s when I fell in love with coaching and athlete development. I took a break from coaching in 2022-2025 to focus on my own competitive powerlifting journey. I had always been around the gym since I was young, but I started to take powerlifting seriously in 2021. I had my first competition in March of 2023, and I fell in love with powerlifting. After that, I started with my amazing coach, Ryan Foray. Fast forward to March of 2024, and I qualified for nationals with APF down in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and in June of 2024, I became a 100kg national champion and qualified for worlds. Unfortunately, in February of 2025, I underwent meniscus surgery that put me out for the 2025 powerlifting season. During that time, I started to coach powerlifting over at Elkhorn Area High School, and I loved it! I was able to help take athletes not only to the state level but also to the national level!
I created Kukla Strength Co to help athletes reach their full potential. I focus on not only evidence-based lifting but also athlete wellness, injury prevention, and education. I focus on biomechanics and educating athletes on how and why their body moves the way it does, which I believe is the first step in injury prevention.
